News from the Norwegian championship held at SpringNats, Gardermoen last weekend:
Svein Olav Rolfstad once agein is the norwegian champion in SuperTwin Topfuel.
He won the final vith a solorun with a clean 7.100sek/307.68kmh
2nd place for last years champ,Trond Hoiberget - who set a new personal best this weekend with a very nice 6.897sek/328,77kmh - which made him #1 qualifier.
This years rookie in STTF is 22 year old Jan Sturla Hegre.

6 teams from Hawgs Racing will be attending the 2nd round of UEM at Santa Pod this weekend - 28.05.10 - 01.06.10. Hans Olav Olstad (#2 from the 1st round), Svein Olav Rolfstad, Vidar Ravnsborg, Trond Hoiberget and rookie Jan Strurla Hegre in SuperTwin Top Fuel, together with Kenneth Vik (#2 from the 1st round), in ProStock bike. This year starts for our teams with the first roun in UEM in Kunmadaras, Hungary. Hans Olav Olstad, Trond Høiberget (both STTF) and Kenneth Vik (PSB) will participate in this first event. 2010 will be an exciting year for Hawgs Racing teams, new teams/drivers and updates and fresh paintscheme for several bikes/teams. Gode nyheter for Kenneth Vik foran 2010-sesongen - Kenneth vil kjøre for det nystartede svenske VEIDEC Pro Stock Bike Team, nedenfor kan du lese pressemeldingen som ble sent ut tidligere denne uken:
Sweden's Team VEIDEC Pro Stock Bike team have confirmed that they will be fielding four riders on the FIM/UEM European Championship tour in 2010. Joining Karl Lyrén and 2006 European Champion Anders Abrahamsson will be Greece's Stavros Svrachnos and Norway's Kenneth Vik.

This event hosted then Nordic Series in Super Twin Top Fuel, NM in ET Street bike and ET Pro bike, and Super Gas and Top Eliminator bike in the TSDS-series.
There was a lot of waiting this weekend due to rain on thursday and friday, the track was still suffering from water in the ground also on saturday. But finaly the track was ready for action - and what action!
The track-crew had done a fantastic job, and the track and the conditons where at its best this afternoon.

The event at Mantorp is over, and sadly the rain ended the eliminations after the semi-finals.
However we managed to get som decent achivements trough the weekend.
Hans Olav was 1st qualifier in super twin top fuel, and set a new track record with 286.22kmh - well done!!
He was defeated in the semifinals by Lorenz Stauble.
Svein Olav was defeated in the quarterfinals, also by Lorenz
Kenneth Vik went all the way trough to the finals in pro stock bike, from his 4th qualifier place.

Winner of the UEM-round in Alastaro is Per Bengtsson, runner-up Lorentz Stauble - Congratulations to both !! Hawgs Racing members Hans Olav Olstad and Svein Olav Rolfstad ended up eliminated by Stauble, Svein Olav in the quarter-final, and Hans Olav in the semifinal. 8 teams/riders from Hawgs Racing entered SummerNats, ready to battle for the Norwegian Championship in 2 classes.

Da er første stevne unnagjort, og de aller fleste har kommet igang.
Det var mye spenning knyttet til dette stevnet, Svein Olav Rolfstad og teamet har jobbet lange dager og netter for å bli ferdig med den nye sykkelen til denne helga. Og jobbinga ble belønnet med suksess.
Sykkelen startet først fint på metanol og etterhvert på nitro. Første drag ble gjennomført kontrollert og gjennomført med stil. Neste drag ble det lagt på litt mer nitro, og Svein Olav tro til med 7,43sek / 308

Easter is nearly over, and the first race - SpringNats at Gardermoen is closing up on us. Norwegian Dragracing Gardermoen have for several years arranged UEM-round the first weekend of august. The top european bike-teams from about ten countries are gathered this weekend at Gardermoen.
Several european records have been set at this trac.
Last years "rain-off" made a terrible impact on the number of spectators, this of course left NDRG with an empty "pocket".
