Da går vi inn i avsluttningen av Kalenderlotteriet - ikke bare for i år, men for godt.
Kalenderlotteriet ble startet som ett tiltak for å få inn noen kroner til våre førere/team og til driften av klubben. I det siste har salget gått litt tregere og det nødvendige overskuddet krymper inn.
Det er tross alt en viss risiko å sitte med premier til over 100.000 !
Men, det er litt vemodig å avslutte dette også - vi har hatt mange trofaste "kunder" og støttespillere som år etter år har kjøpt

The european championship finals at Santa Pod turned out to be at real season highlight for the SuperTwin class. With 4 riders entering to go for the championship win - and two of these from Hawgs Racing: Hans Olav and Jan Sturla. Jan Sturla put his Fast Cat to rest in the qualifications, and that left Hans Olav to go for the win in the Eliminations. Well, the championship 2011 went to Per Bengtsson/Sweden - congratulations!!  |

The last weekend in april the european top dragbike riders/teams traveled the long road to Hungary for the 1st round in the UEM championship.
Hawgs Racing entered 5 drivers, 4 in SuperTwin TopFuel and 1 in ProStockBike.
In SuperTwin last years rookie Jan Sturla Hegre went all the way through to the finals, as did clubmate Hans Olav Olstad. This was the first (but not the last !) all-out Hawgs Racing final in the UEM, ever.

Results from UEM Finals at Santa Pod:
Hans Olav and Kenneth both entered SantPod as #3.
Hans Olav qualified as #3, Trond #4 and Jan Sturla #8.
In the eliminations both Hans Olav and Trond lost in their semifinals, but the lucky looser this weekend was Jan Sturla who lost to Lorenz Stauble in the quarterfinals: Lorenz run the quickest ET of the weekend with 6.4776s/217.02mph and Jan Sturla run 6.6159s/195.56mph ! This is the quickest ET from a norwegian SuprTwin ever - congratulaions

The coming weekend all of our SuperTwin Top Fuel teams: Hans Olav Olstad\Trond Hoiberget\Jan Sturla Hegre\Svein Olav Rolfstad \Vidar Ravnsborg are attending Mosten Raceday.
This have shown to be a good tradition for the teams on their way to Santa Pod for the European Finals.

News from the Norwegian championship held at SummerNats, Gardermoen last weekend:
Svein Olav Rolfstad once again is the norwegian champion in SuperTwin Topfuel.
He won the final vith a solorun with a clean 7.100sek/307.68kmh
2nd place for last years champ,Trond Hoiberget - who set a new personal best this weekend with a very nice 6.897sek/328,77kmh - which made him #1 qualifier.
This years rookie in STTF is 22 year old Jan Sturla Hegre.

This year starts for our teams with the first roun in UEM in Kunmadaras, Hungary. Hans Olav Olstad, Trond Høiberget (both STTF) and Kenneth Vik (PSB) will participate in this first event. 2010 will be an exciting year for Hawgs Racing teams, new teams/drivers and updates and fresh paintscheme for several bikes/teams. Gode nyheter for Kenneth Vik foran 2010-sesongen - Kenneth vil kjøre for det nystartede svenske VEIDEC Pro Stock Bike Team, nedenfor kan du lese pressemeldingen som ble sent ut tidligere denne uken:
Sweden's Team VEIDEC Pro Stock Bike team have confirmed that they will be fielding four riders on the FIM/UEM European Championship tour in 2010. Joining Karl Lyrén and 2006 European Champion Anders Abrahamsson will be Greece's Stavros Svrachnos and Norway's Kenneth Vik.

This event hosted then Nordic Series in Super Twin Top Fuel, NM in ET Street bike and ET Pro bike, and Super Gas and Top Eliminator bike in the TSDS-series.
There was a lot of waiting this weekend due to rain on thursday and friday, the track was still suffering from water in the ground also on saturday. But finaly the track was ready for action - and what action!
The track-crew had done a fantastic job, and the track and the conditons where at its best this afternoon.

The event at Mantorp is over, and sadly the rain ended the eliminations after the semi-finals.
However we managed to get som decent achivements trough the weekend.
Hans Olav was 1st qualifier in super twin top fuel, and set a new track record with 286.22kmh - well done!!
He was defeated in the semifinals by Lorenz Stauble.
Svein Olav was defeated in the quarterfinals, also by Lorenz
Kenneth Vik went all the way trough to the finals in pro stock bike, from his 4th qualifier place.
