Sweden's Team VEIDEC Pro Stock Bike team have confirmed that they will be fielding four riders on the FIM/UEM European Championship tour in 2010. Joining Karl Lyrén and 2006 European Champion Anders Abrahamsson will be Greece's Stavros Svrachnos and Norway's Kenneth Vik.

"Stavros is a multiple Greek Champion and had some good results in the UEM Championship last year", says Roger Lyrén. "He will be running a Suzuki TL1000 with a 1655 cc V&H/MotoSpeed engine combination. Kenneth was also running very well towards the end of 2009. He was in the Final against Anders at the VEIDEC Festival. He will ride a Suzuki R1100 with a 1655 cc V&H/Motospeed combination.

"We have also brought to the crew a number of members with years of experience such as Lars Eriksson, Hans Eriksson, Lars Langkvist, Atle Pedersen, and Baloo. Paul Watson will be one of the key team members with his longtime experience as tuner and rider, and there will be between another four and ten crew depending upon the race."

The plan is for all four riders to contest the entire 2010 FIM/UEM Tour together with Nordic races and maybe the NitrOlympX. There was a lot of waiting this weekend due to rain on thursday and friday, the track was still suffering from water in the ground also on saturday.  But finaly the track was ready for action - and what action!
The track-crew had done a fantastic job, and the track and the conditons where at its best this afternoon.

You can read reviews on www.ndrg.no and www.eurodragster.com, but the historic highlight where Peter Svensson making the first 5-sec run on a top-fuel bike outside the USA !! 5.938s.
Rickar Gustavsson made a very good 6.556s.

In Super Twin they where batling for round-victory in the Nordic Series, and the best run this weekend was from Svein Olav Rolfstad, running 6.69s, which is a new personal best on the new blower bike.
Vidar Ravnsborg also set a new personal best with his first 6 ! 6.995s
Trond Høiberget made a good run in the qualifications and made 7,144s

The finals was set to be a club-fight between Hans Olav Olstad and Vidar Ravnsborg, which ended with a victory to Hans Olav. Congratulations !!

Kenneth Vik participated in Top Eliminator with his ProStock bike, and also set a new personal best with a nice 7.34 s

Hans Olav was 1st qualifier in super twin top fuel, and set a new track record with 286.22kmh - well done!!
He was defeated in the semifinals by Lorenz Stauble.
Svein Olav was defeated in the quarterfinals, also by Lorenz

Kenneth Vik went all the way trough to the finals in pro stock bike, from his 4th qualifier place.

Kristin Hegre was defeated in the semifinals against Anna-Lena Asplund in super twin top gas.

This weekend we are attending Sunoco Drag Challenge at Gardermoen.

8 teams/riders from Hawgs Racing entered SummerNats, ready to battle for the Norwegian Championship in 2 classes.

Last years champ Vidar Ravnsborg, 2008 UEM-champ Svein Olav Rolfstad, Hans Olav Olstad and this years nitro-rookie Trond Høiberget - and Matti Vahaasari was ready to fight for the title in SuperTwin TopFuel (NM Group 1).  Lorenz Stauble came all the way from Switzerland to test his supertwin after last race at Santa Pod.

Kristin Hegre, Kenneth Vik and Kåre Ravnsborg was competing against the rest of the field of gas-bikes in ET Pro Bike (NM Group 2), and Rita Eriksrud competing in ET Street Bike.

All of the fuel-teams had their share of problems this weekend, and the qualification list looked like this after saturday:

In the first quarterfinal Lorenz met Matti, Lo first off the line, to a better 60" from Matti - but Lo got the win by 6,982 to Matti's 7,275. The second pair out was Hans Olav meeting Svein Olav.  Hans Olav got the lights, but SvennO gets a better 60', and Svein Olav gets the win by 7,074 to Hans Olav's 7,172.
The last pair out was defending national champ Vidar Ravnsborg meeting Tron Høiberget.  Vidar blew his engine in the previous round, and Trond gets a bye-run - 9,105.

In the semi both Lo and Trond gets each their bye-run, Lo performing best with a 6,896/335,49
In the Final Trond didn't manage to get ready, and Lorenz got the win with 7.021/328,90
But this was a national championship, and you need to be norwegian to win the title!
The nitro-rookie ended up national champion (Norsk Mester), even though Lorenz did win the race.

Pro-stock rider Kenneth Vik was satisfied with his testing this weekend, and it was no-show on his part in the eliminations.  He made a 7,45sek run at his best. Kåre Ravnsborg had problems with gearshifting the whole weekend, and also didnt make to the eliminations.  Kristin Hegre had improved her personal best several times this weekend, and entered the first round with a 9,8s set break-out.  She was obviously to pessimistic, as she made another personal best 9.568s and thereby was out by the break-out rule.

Top Fuel Bike: Sverre Dahl showed up with his top fuel bike to make a couple of test-runs.

Det var mye spenning knyttet til dette stevnet, Svein Olav Rolfstad og teamet har jobbet lange dager og netter for å bli ferdig med den nye sykkelen til denne helga. Og jobbinga ble belønnet med suksess.
Sykkelen startet først fint på metanol og etterhvert på nitro.  Første drag ble gjennomført kontrollert og gjennomført med stil.  Neste drag ble det lagt på litt mer nitro, og Svein Olav tro til med 7,43sek / 308 kmt.
Dette var en fin gjennomkjøring for Santa Pod, og en velfortjent belønning for mange sene timer den siste måneden.

Det var også mange spente sjeler i team TJH Racing, med fører/eier Trond Høiberget i spissen.
Denne gjengen har også jobbet iherdig den siste tiden for å bli ferdig til Spring Nats.
Trond har tidligere konkurrert i ET Pro Bike, og skulle denne helgen oppgradere lisensen for Super Twin Top Fuel.  Trond gjennomførte sine 3 lisensdrag med stil og lisensen er nå i lomma - vi gratulerer!

Klubbens bensinsykler var også på Gardermoen.  Kristin Hegre stilte med sin ProMod-bike kjøpt fra USA i 2008.  Hun gjennomført flere drag uten å oppnå de helt store tidene.

Kåre Ravnsborg kjøpre også sykkel fra USA i fjor, en tidligere ProMod/ProStock-bike.
Kåre og Team Karera fikk en grei gjennomkøring på deres første tur ut med ny sykkel, men hadde hele helgen problemer med gearingen.  Disse problemene skal nå gjennomgåes før neste stevne.

Rolfstad Racing:
Here is a "spy"-picture from the Rolfstad-garage, showing the new SuperTwin TopFuel blowerbike beeing built and made for the season starter at Gardermoen 2.-3. of may.



Svein Olav and the team have many days and nights on the bike, and still more to come the next 2-3 weeks.


Karera Racing:
Kåre have by the help of Lars Bekk painted the first layer/colour on the SuperTwin TopGas bike.
Hopefully they will be all ready with the whole colourscheme for SpringNats.

Several european records have been set at this trac.
 
Last years "rain-off" made a terrible impact on the number of spectators, this of course left NDRG with an empty "pocket".

A sponsorship-package for the UEM-round have been put together, read more about this (in Norwegian)
 
Hawgs Racing have several riders competing in the UEM-championship, and we want to secure the round at Gardermoen by buing one sponsorship-package..
So, we challenge you to help NDRG to keep the UEM-round at Gardermoen.

Idrettslag som er registrert i Frivillighetsregisteret vil få del i disse pengene.
Den enkelte spiller hos Norsk Tipping kan da knytte en lokal frivillig organisasjon til sitt spillerkort.
5% av din insats går til det idrettslaget du velger, dette vil hjelpe oss med driften av laget gjennom året.

At the NDRG banquet several awards was handed out, and Hawgs Racing recieved several prices.

Kristin Hegre won the Bike Rider of the Year! 
Kristin have been trough a tough year, and ended the season on here newly achieved Top Gas bike from the USA.




Henning Pedersen was saluted with the Mecanic of the Year award!
Henning have been a mecanic for Team Rolfstad for several years, he was together with Svein Olav on the USA-tour in 2007.




And finaly Team Rolfstad won the Bike Team of the Year, due to winning the UEM Super Twin Top Fuel title.

Trond Høiberget have bought Trond Alm's Super Twin bike.  Bjørn Nordrum will be riding the ProET-bike for Trash Racing Team this season.

Kristin Hegre bougth a former AHDRA ProMod-bike last summer, and will be racing this bike in ProET-bike and Super Twin Top Gas.

We are happy to announce that K.Vik Racing, and rider Kenneth Vik has joined Hawgs Racing, he is racing in ProStock-bike, and will be competing in UEM-championship.

Karera Racing have sold the Suzuki and bought a former AHDRA ProStock-bike, and will be racing this bike in ProET-bike and Super Twin Top Gas in the Nordic Series.  Read more about this....

Hans Christian Nilsen has been out of the game due to a hand injury, but his new bike is making progress, and should be ready thos season.
